About Us

Our Children’s Potential was founded by Director of Services Kerrie McCullough. It was set up to deliver and promote the wellbeing and potential of children and young people where it is most in need.

Kerrie is a counsellor, hypnotherapist and creative therapist. Kerrie is trained in Play therapy. She has worked in schools, children’s centres and charities as a counsellor and creative therapist. She has worked with many different issues such as ADHD, loss and bereavement, anxiety, bullying and children on the autistic spectrum. Kerrie worked as a children’s counsellor focussing specifically with children/young people who had experienced Trauma, Domestic violence and Sexual Abuse. She is a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.

Kerrie has also worked for a large government organisation as an adult counsellor. She also delivers training workshops on stress management, confidence and young people keeping safe in the community. She also runs workshops on visualisation and meditation for children and adults.

Art work by Rita Loyd http://www.nurturingart.com/

“If I had my child to raise all over again, I’d finger paint more, and point the finger less. I’d do less correcting, and more connecting. I’d take my eyes off my watch, and watch with my eyes. I would care to know less, and know to care more. I’d take more hikes and fly more kites. I’d stop playing serious, and seriously play. I’d run through more fields, and gaze at more stars. I’d do more hugging, and less tugging. I would be firm less often, and affirm much more. I’d build self esteem first, and the house later. I’d teach less about the love of power, and more about the power of love.”― Diane Loomans
